Fall Into the Right Arms

On Christian's birthday, Vivienne braves the rain to deliver his gift, only to catch him cheating with an actress and hear him mock her as a boring "display piece." When she confronts him, Christian slaps her and dismisses her. Heartbroken, Vivienne publicly calls off their engagement, defying his arrogance that she'll crawl back. Devastated, she faints in the rain and is rescued by Julian—the city's most powerful man, Christian's mortal enemy, and her long-time admirer. She agrees to his contract marriage proposal, igniting an intense connection that enrages the regretful Christian.
